D3-Gkelin

(Vitamin D3 ή Cholecalciferol) 

1 Drop contains 25μg [1000 IU] vitamin D3 [cholecalciferol]

Each ml contains 25 drops

D3-Gkelin (vitamin D3 ή Cholecalciferol) is administered as food supplement for children, adolescents and adults in the dose of one drop daily [25μg (1000 Ι.U.) preferably after meal or as directed by the responsible doctor or health care practitioner. Please do not exceed the recommended directions for use.

One drop D3-Gkelin (vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol) contains 25μg [1000 Ι.U.] vitamin D3 in refined olive oil. D3-Gkelin (vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol) does not contain chemical conservatives, additional flavors or colors.

D3-Gkelin should not be used in children younger than 14 years old. Keep out of reach of children. Store at room temperature: 25°C (77° F). Store away from light, heat and moisture. Do not destroy the packaging. In case of pregnancy or nursing or taking other medications for certain medical condi­tion please communicate with your medical practitioner before taking this product. A food supplement should not be used instead of a varied regular diet. With a completely balanced nutrition probably somebody can receive the average daily requirements of vitamins and metals.

Food supplements may possibly cover the needs of supplementation until the recommended dietary allowance (RDA). The intake of doses above the recommended dietary allow­ance probably they are not useful for a healthy population and additionally may demonstrate unwanted effects due to overdosage.

Βefore the decision of complementary administration of vitamin D3 drops (D3-Gkelin drops) it is useful the mesurement of the serum levels of 25(OH)D3 or 25-hydroxyvitamin D3. The best favorable results of vitamin D3 are succeeded when the levels of 25(OH) D3 are > 30 ng/mL or 75nmol/L [1]. The canceroprotective optimal levels of 25(OH)D3 must be between (36-48 ng/ml) or 90-120 nmol/l [1, 2].

Deficient circulating levels of vitamin D3: Levels of 25(OH)D3 below 5ng/ml (12.5/nmol/l)

Insufficient circulating levels of vitamin D3: Levels of 25(OH)D3 below 20ng/ml (50nmol/l)

Sufficient circulating levels of vitamin D3: Levels of 25(OH)D3 equal to or greater than 20ng/ml

Sub-optimal circulating levels of vitamin D3: Levels of 25(OH)D3 below 32ng/ml (80nmol/l)

Optimal circulating levels of vitamin D3: Levels of 25(OH)D3 32ng/ml and above [3].
